ChaTheatre Presents: Chicago: Teen Edition

Posted on March 27, 2026March 27, 2026 by Genevieve Conneely

Have you ever wondered what happens when you combine spectacle, crime, and all that jazz? You get ChaTheatre’s venture into the Roaring 20s with their spring musical, Chicago!

Chicago is the second-longest-running show on Broadway and has had multiple iterations worldwide since 1975. The story follows Roxie Hart, a woman who craves fame and will stop at nothing to achieve it. She becomes enamored of the stage and idolizes vaudeville performers, including Velma Kelly. After ending up in jail, Roxie finds herself competing with Velma for more fame and love, and also for the attention of big-shot lawyer, Billy Flynn. The story allows audiences to be transported into the heart of the 1920s through a series of perfectly woven large flashy numbers. Excitement, drama, and a bit of razzle dazzle lie around each corner—it’s surely a production you don’t want to miss!

Starring Dani Leon as Roxie Hart and Mads Garman as Velma Kelly, the production is being directed by Mrs. Russo and music directed by Mr. Bryson. The cast also includes Diego Cobo as Billy Flynn, Noah Gicas as Amos Hart, and Victoria Szybowski as Matron Mama Morton. They are accompanied by a talented ensemble and featured dancers.

The cast has been rehearsing since mid-January and can’t wait to share their hard work with the community!

Come catch Chicago: Teen Edition April 16th – 18th at 7:00 PM! Additionally, there will be a special invited dress rehearsal on April 15th at 4:30 PM exclusively for senior citizens. Tickets will go on sale starting March 23rd on BookTix! This show contains more adult themes and is recommended for audience members aged 13+.
