ChaTheatre Presents: Pride & Prejudice

Posted on October 22, 2025October 27, 2025 by Genevieve Conneely

ChaTheatre is diving headfirst into the Regency Era with its fall play, Kate Hamill’s adaptation of Pride and Prejudice! The CHS auditorium will soon be filled with twirling gowns and delightful British accents!

Starring Mads Garman as Elizabeth Bennet and Sam Williams as Mr. Darcy, the production is being directed by Mrs. Russo and will run through November 20-22. The cast also features the talents of Caroline Byrne as Jane Bennet, Jack Cyganovich as Mary Bennet, Madeline Klatt as Lydia Bennet, and Diego Cobo and Jonas Wilcox as Mr. and Mrs. Bennet.

Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice follows Elizabeth Bennet and her family as they  venture into spheres of love and social status. At a ball, she meets a mysterious and pompous man named Mr. Darcy—a man whom she finds very intriguing. Yet, that intrigue quickly turns to hate. Only time can tell how long that hatred remains…This story contains iconic dramatic confessions, tense arguments and of course, elegant ballroom dancing.

However, Kate Hamill’s fresh adaptation of the classic novel is far from your mother’s Pride and Prejudice. The production injects exciting 21st century elements that bring the story in new and intriguing ways. To find out what those elements are, you’ll just have to come see it for yourself.

Rehearsals for the show are well underway! The cast is hard at work mastering their lines, blocking, and choreography.

Come catch the show on Nov 20th at 4:00 PM, Nov 21st at 7:00 PM, or Nov 22nd at 7:00 PM! Ticket information will be released soon. Get ready for a night of whimsy and drama in the CHS auditorium!
