My Top Ten Holiday Gifts

Posted on November 29, 2023November 29, 2023 by Finn Sadler

Top Ten Holiday Gifts of 2023

  1. Shoes

Shoes make your image pop. Shoes compose the clothes you wear. I like to get shoes that match well with my clothes. Shoes like the New Balance 550’s are versatile as they can match with whatever you wear. Dunks are also an easy option for any occasion, while trendy shoes like the Sambas and Birkenstocks are bold. Personally, I am getting Dunks and Adidas Spezials, but I also really like the Asics Impromptu. Asics Impromptu is a versatile shoe that is different from all the other mainstream brands. However, they still have that clunky look that is popular.

  1. Camera

From Polaroid to digital, cameras are a key item when you want to document important occurrences in your life. I have a digital and film camera that I like to use when I go on vacation or when I’m going somewhere with my friends. Cameras can be on the pricier side, though; especially with the purchase of film.

  1. Clothes

The most versatile item on this list: clothes. Clothes are your image. They’re how people associate you with your personality. I personally like to switch up my style every year as it represents how I evolve as a person. This year I am getting some chino pants and pullovers but what you wear is up to you. People nowadays like to wear a lot of black. As I walk the streets of NYC I see big black puffer coats and black sambas. Leggings are a popular option as well as leather pants, but I like baggier clothes because they are comfortable and stylish. Cargo pants and loose tapered pants are definitely on my list.

  1. Speaker:

Speakers are a necessity for hangouts with friends and family gatherings. I use a Bose speaker, however, JBL is also a great pick. Speakers can be on the pricier side, but it really depends on the brand, size, and quality of it.

  1. Dog

Dogs can be a big responsibility. However, having a loving companion is worth every penny. I have a dog and can’t imagine life without it. Dogs can be very expensive and time-consuming, so if you’re planning on getting one this year you must be aware of the time and effort that goes into taking care of your dog.

  1. DJ Set

Who doesn’t want to know how to DJ? Knowing how to DJ is an impressive skill that is useful at parties and events. My brother is getting a DJ set and many other people I know are getting one as well. DJ sets can cost anywhere from $200 to $1000 +.

  1. Event Tickets

Experiences are often more valuable than the tangible items we receive. Tickets to events can deliver unforgettable experiences. I highly recommend getting concert tickets, plane tickets, or sports tickets this year.

  1. Computer

A computer offers endless opportunities from surfing the web to working or gaming, a computer is a must. You can buy a PC, however, they tend to be very expensive. Laptops like the macbook and a microsoft surface are portable options that offer various uses in needed situations

  1. Earbuds/Headphones

Every year for the holidays I get new earbuds and by the end of the year, I’ve either lost them or somehow broke them. You can either accept that you are going to lose them and get the cheap option of the original AirPods which are about $60 – $100. Or if you’re responsible enough you can get the more expensive option of the newer AirPods and the AirPod Max.

  1. Airfryer

The airfryer has been a hot item that everyone seems to be acquiring. It works best in smaller environments like dorms and apartments where an oven is not available. However, anyone can find this gadget useful. It can cook almost anything you can fit in it in a matter of minutes. My family will probably be getting one of these this holiday season. Air fryers cost about $50-$350.
