Cougar Weekend Games

Posted on November 6, 2022 by Christopher Allen

This year’s Cougar Weekend was a great success. Chatham High School’s athletic programs did fantastic in each game, and our school sure had a lot of pride. Cougar Weekend kicked off with a varsity field hockey game against Mendham on Thursday night, where Cougars dominated seven-to-one. On Friday, for the boys and girls varsity soccer games, the student section at Cougar Field filled with Chatham students. The students participated in a “black out” theme for the game, amping up the Cougars en route to back-to-back victories for the soccer teams.  Chatham girls beat West Morris High School three-to-one. while Chatham boys defeated Morristown High School one-to-zero.

Saturday saw a close footfall game to end the excitement of Cougar Weekend. Dressed in “white out” this time, the Chatham student section overflowed with students cheering on the varsity football team for a fourteen-to-thirteen victory. This game had everyone on the edge of their seats, and our student section was packed with roaring fans. Chatham definitely had an exciting Cougar Weekend with a lot of school spirit, which we love to see. Roll Cougz!
