Here we are with the second installment of Ask Broseph! For those who don’t know, the Chronicle has reached out to advice-giving extraordinaire Broseph McDude Mann, a senior with plenty of experience dealing with the daily problems of high school. Here are some answers to questions submitted for this issue!

Dear Broseph, I hope you can help me. Last week, I was studying with my friend at her house when I realized I was late for practice. She then let me borrow her bike so I could get there in time. However, midway to practice, the bike broke down and the chain wasn’t shifting correctly. While crouching to inspect the damage, I noticed that she had left her phone in the front compartment, and I saw a notification from my boyfriend talking to her! What should I do?
Sincerely, Concerned
Dear Concerned, a chain that is not shifting correctly can be fixed by first cleaning and drying the chain and cassette. Then apply a degreaser/lubricant onto each roller. Hope this helps!

Dear Broseph, a fly flew down my throat while I was riding my bike to school, and now it hurts to sneeze. Is this an allergic reaction?
Thanks, Worried
Dear Worried, I’m no school nurse, so you should probably take this up with Miss Pace. However, just to be safe, I’d recommend drinking plenty of water until the fly drowns. – Broseph
