Ping Pong Tournament

Ping Pong Tournament

You may have heard a ball or two bouncing during lunch a few weeks ago. This was the sound of the ping pong balls during the Ping Pong Tournament. This tournament had over 60 participants and was run by the Paskalides brothers. It took place in the A/B gym and was a fun time for all who participated. The Pakalides brothers came up with the idea and acted upon it. It was very easy; they got an advisor and created the club. It was a fantastic idea that got many people involved and was a lunch well spent.

The tournament itself was very difficult to complete because of the amount of players that participated. Freshman Ronan Limroth said, “It was fun. I had a good completive game that I luckily won.” There were competitive games going on throughout the gym. A sophomore said, “I hope they do this again. I want revenge. I should have won that game.” The players did not just come to say they were in a club; they came to win.

Next time, it would not be surprising if the tournament were longer because of the overwhelming number of participants. The Ping Pong club is a great new club with great potential to have a lot of active members. This club could become one of the most popular clubs by the look of their first turnout. James Paskalides, one of the brothers who ran the tournament said, “ It was a great success and we hope to keep this new club going.”

So all in all, the Ping Pong Club is a great new club that has many great things still to come and plenty of new members waiting to join.
