Fall Sports Update

So far this fall season, there have been many great wins for Chatham. The girls Varsity Tennis team are currently undefeated, and have won their third consecutive Morris County Tournament title. Junior Scarlett Blydenburgh won her match as first singles for the third time, 6-4, 7-6. Second doubles, freshman Seden Agar and junior Laurel Hickey won 6-2, 6-1, and senior Jen McCann and Junior Abby Morgan won 6-4, 7-6. In another area of success, the Varsity Football team is currently 2-1 with wins against Roxbury and High Point. There has been a huge showing in the student sections for all the games, so stop by if you have the chance. Furthermore, Varsity Field Hockey is currently 3-4-1. They have won against Morris Hills, Pope John, and Summit so far this season.

The boys Varsity Soccer team is unfortunately 1-5-1, and their win is against Morristown. They also lost in the first round of the Morris County Tournament against Pequannock 1-0. The girls Varsity Soccer team is 1-4-1 with a win against Morristown in overtime as well. Like the boys, they lost in the Morris County Tournament to Whippany Park, 2-1.

This year, Cougar Weekend is October 7th to 10th. On Wednesday, Varsity Tennis plays Morristown at 4pm at the Colony Courts, and Varsity Volleyball plays Roxbury at 7pm at CHS. Varsity Field Hockey plays Morris Knolls on Cougar Field at 7pm. Both the girls and boys Varsity Soccer teams play on Friday at 6pm and 8pm, respectively. The girls play Whippany Park and the boys play West Morris Central, and both games are at Cougar Field. Finishing off Cougar Weekend, the football team plays on Saturday, 7pm, against Morris Hills at Cougar Field. If you want to see the full Cougar Weekend schedule click here.
