3rd Annual Senior-Faculty Volleyball Game

Students take on Faculty
Monday, February 22nd, 2016

This year on Friday, March 4th, the battle between the seniors and faculty will continue in the annual volleyball game that gets everyone excited. For three years teachers have tried to show up the students, and students have tried to get in hits at teachers they’ve requested to play. Although, most teachers will hold it over their students heads if they win and students desperately seek the bragging rights against the faculty, no matter the outcome it is fun for all.

With the help of senior class advisor Ms. Scerbo, the senior class officers have put in a lot of work for this year’s game in particular and hope that students come out victorious. After talking to many students, it seems that some favorites to look out for on the faculty side would be Mr. Cai, Ms. Kenny, and Mr. Kmiec who will most likely bring their a-game. The students have three waves of participants though, assuring no one gets tired and many get the opportunity to play, and will surely put up a fight against the teachers. Their leadership will be AJ Torrioni, Rashida Haye, and Luke Malanga who can hopefully coach all three teams to victory.

The senior-faculty volleyball game would not be possible without all of the planning from the class officers but also the volunteers from the senior class who offered to set-up, clean-up, keep score, DJ/MC, call raffle tickets, and the much needed people to dress up in the cougar mascot. Senior Class President Molly-Kate Dinnhaupt commented on the event saying, “We’re really excited for the Senior- Faculty Volleyball game and we’re so happy that a lot of seniors, and faculty of course, have volunteered to play or help out. It’s going to be great to have the whole class together for this event!”

With that, we hope the volleyball game goes off without a hitch on March 4th, and we hope that both seniors and faculty have a great time at the event.
