The movie quickly and smartly fills in the backstory, reminding the viewer how Western powers propped up the Iranian monarch until the Islamic Revolution in 1979, a popular uprising that gave vent to anti-American fury in the region.

In the past couple weeks; the United States has recognized the possibility of a war between Iran and Israel. With many tensions of the Middle East relating to Israel, this does not come as a surprise. Israel, which has been the subject of many conflicts and wars in the past, is fearful of the advancing nuclear program in Iran. With a nuclear Iran, Israel would have to be more careful in its foreign relations in the Middle East. The United States would also need to take some caution in handling the unpredictable Iran.

On Wednesday the 11th, at 8:20, Iranian nuclear scientist, Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan, was killed when a man driving a motorcycle threw a magnetic bomb onto his car on his way to work. The blast instantly killed Roshan and his body guard. Roshan was the head nuclear scientist at the Natanz Nuclear Plant and a professor at the University of Tehran. Iran immediately blamed the United States and Israel. The White House was quick to deny involvement and “condemned” the attack which they classified as terrorism. Israeli military spokesman, Brig. On Tuesday October 11, in a New York City restaurant, two men attempted to assassinate the Saudi Arabian ambassador to the United States. One of the assassins was a member of the Iranian special force, Quds Force. The other assassin was part of a Mexican drug cartel. According to Secretary of State Hilary Clinton the plotted assassination, code-named Chevrolet, began when Iran paid a Mexican drug cartel to kill the ambassador. The Iranians sent one of their own to ensure the plot was carried out to their specifications.

For the past couple of months, the weather in Chatham has been wildly unpredictable. This wild weather began in the winter with record snowfalls. As spring came around the tempertures did not increase, but stayed the same. Temperatures in Chatham would then rise and fall for many weeks. Once spring finally settled, a series of rain storms dominated the forecasts. For the past couple months the weather in Chatham has been to say the least abnormal; however wild weather has not only struck Northern New Jersey. Through April and May tornados devastated the south. Vicious tornados combined with thunderstorms destroyed many cities and homes. California has also been experiencing the wild weather. Violent rain storms struck the state in the last couple weeks. Clearly the nation has been going through a period of wild weather, and we must wonder: is this the forseen end of the world?
